"Today, the society plays an important part in the life of the country. As the head of the Committee I count on constructive work of the Public Council," Head of the Committee Liudmyla Denisova said at the first meeting of the Council on June 2, 2015.
She addressed members of the Public Council requesting to assist the Committee and the Verkhovna Rada in effective introduction of reforms in the country.
She said members of the Public Council are inter alia representatives of medical trade unions, who can professionally estimate the draft law as to medicines and help in elaboration of the law on medical insurance.
Participants of the meeting discussed a number of other issues as to cooperation between the authorities and the society.
Olena Stepanenko, a representative of the National Mediators Association of Ukraine, was elected the Head of the Public Council.
