On May 22, a reception on the occasion of Africa Day, which is annually celebrated on May 25, took place on behalf of Head of the Verkhovna Rada Committee for Foreign Affairs Hanna Hopko. Participants of the reception were heads of African countries' diplomatic offices accredited in Ukraine, Ukraine's Foreign Affairs Ministry's diplomats, representatives of business and scientific circles.
During the event, Hopko congratulated its participants on Africa Day and wished African countries peace and welfare.
In turn, top officials of African countries noted that over last decades African countries have permanently showed considerable growth of GDP and other important economic indicators, which turn them into attractive trade partners for the whole world, including Ukraine.
