Verkhovna Rada adopts as a basis draft law "On introduction of amendments into Chapter XX "Transitional provisions" of Tax Code of Ukraine as to peculiarities of taxation of operations on import to and further distribution of electric vehicles in Ukraine

The draft law offers to temporarily (until January 1, 2020) exempt from VAT and excise fee the importation to and distribution of electric vehicles classified under the HS code of 8703 90 10 00 (this category envisions vehicles equipped with electric motors) in Ukraine.

The draft law also offers to supplement Sub-Items 2 and 5, Chapter XX "Final Provisions" of the Tax Code of Ukraine with respective items.

Respective draft law was registered under No. 1912.
