The Verkhovna Rada Committee for Family, Youth Policy, Sport and Tourism has recommended that the Ukrainian Parliament adopt as a basis the draft law “On introduction of amendments into Article 40 of Law of Ukraine “On physical training and sports” as to reduction of number of control functions of state bodies.”

During the discussion, Committee members supported the proposal to adopt the draft law as a basis as in their opinion it will ensure non-interference of state bodies in activity of non-government associations, first of all sports federations engaged in development of sports, organization and holding of sport events in Ukraine and abroad.
