The Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine has adopted the Law “On introduction of amendments into some legislative acts of Ukraine as to conditions of returning of term deposits.”
The legislative act rules that bank clients will have right to obtain their deposits and interest accrued on them under term bank agreement only once such agreement expires.
Advance returning of deposits and interest on them is possible only in case the said is envisaged by conditions of the term deposit agreement.
Respective amendments were introduced into Articles 1060 and 1065 of the Civil Code of Ukraine and into Article 13 of the Law of Ukraine “On securities and stock market.”
Respective draft law was registered under No. 1195.
