The Verkhovna Rada Committee for Science and Education recommends that the Ukrainian Parliament adopt as a basis and on the whole the draft law “On introduction of amendments into Law of Ukraine “On higher education: as to introduction of limits during election of heads (acting heads) of higher education establishments.”
The Law is elaborated to avoid access of unprofessional persons to higher education establishments’ managerial positions.
The Law determines legal and organizational grounds for participation in tender for the post of a head of a higher education establishment.
Participants of the Committee meeting were Committee members, First Vice-President of the National Pedagogical Sciences Academy of Ukraine Volodymyr Luhovyi; Deputy Minister of Education and Science Oleh Dereviyanko; director of the Department for Innovations and Technology Transfer of the Ministry of Education and Science Viktor Shovkaliuk; director of the Department for European Integration of the Economic Development and Trade Ministry Viacheslav Tsymbal; Head of the State Intellectual Property Service of Ukraine Alla Zharinova; and others.
