The Verkhovna Rada Committee for Human Rights, National Minorities and Inter-Ethnic Relations has discussed a number of its meeting agenda issues.
In the frames of the meeting on top of everything else, members of the Committee heard information of head of the Central Investigation Department of the Security Service of Ukraine Vasyl Vovk about recently detained blogger Ruslan Kotsaba, who made a stand against military mobilization and is now accused under two Articles of the Penal Code of Ukraine: “Treason” and “Defeating the Law.”
To that extent, Ombudsman Valeriya Lutkovska reported that on April 29, coordinator of the Verkhovna Rada Ombudsman visited Ruslan Kotsaba at the detention center. She said the blogger did not express any complaints as to restriction of his rights.
