Verkhovna Rada adopts as a basis draft law "On introduction of amendments into some legislative acts of Ukraine as to replacement of life sentence with less strict punishment"

The Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine has adopted as a basis the draft law "On introduction of amendments into some legislative acts of Ukraine as to replacement of life sentence with less strict punishment."

The draft law offers to introduce amendments into the Penal Code, Penal Execution Code, Criminal Procedure Code of Ukraine and the Law of Ukraine "On administrative supervision over persons released from prisons," which envisions humanization of the order of sentencing and punishment by life sentence.

Respective draft law was registered under No. 2292.
