The Verkhovna Rada Committee for Free Speech and Information Policy has eyed a number of issues as to labor conditions of journalists and facts of resistance to their professional activity.
In particular, the Committee heard a report by Acting Head of the Central Investigation Department of the Ministry of Interior Affairs of Ukraine Oleksandr Vakulenko on restriction of labor rights of employees of the TVi channel.
Besides, the Committee eyed the issue of resistance to legal professional activity of employees of the ZIK channel near the house of Deputy Interior Affairs Minister Serhii Chebotar on April 28, 2015.
Participants of the meeting were informed that consideration of the issue on murder of former Segodnya newspaper’s editor-in-chief Oles Buzyna had been suspended due to holding of requisite investigation procedures.
