In particular, head of the official delegation of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine Andrii Artemenko presented Ukraine’s proposal to eye an opportunity to create a joint grain hub on the territory of Qatar.
He said the parties have to work on the plan for the creation of a joint grain hub, which could provide crops to the countries of the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC).
Besides, the parties discussed the initiative to open direct air communication between Ukraine and Qatar.
Prime Minister and Minister of the Interior of Qatar Abdullah bin Nasser bin Khalifa Al Thani pointed out the importance of deepening of economic relations between the two countries.
In turn, Artemenko noted that opening of the direct air communication between the countries could intensify economic and business activity between Ukraine and Qatar.
In response Sheikh Abdullah bin Nasser bin Khalifa Al Thani instructed the Ministry of Transportation along with head of the Qatar Airways air company to swiftly adjust the issue of the air communication and to start all required procedures.
The Ukrainian delegation also consisted of Verkhovna Rada deputies Andrii Teteruk and Denys Sylantiev.
