Head of the Verkhovna Rada Committee for Human Rights, National Minorities and Inter-Ethnic Relations Hryhorii Nemyria has met with Director of the OSCE Office for Democratic Institutions and Human Rights Michael Georg Link.
The parties discussed the status of human rights protection in Ukraine, and focused on protection of rights and freedoms of Ukrainian citizens that remained in Crimea and on the territory occupied in Donbas.
The parties also agreed on cooperation between the Committee and the OSCE Office as to elaboration of the plan for implementation of the National Strategy on human rights.
Besides, the parties discussed possible setting up an observer mission of the OSCE Office the period of local election in Ukraine expected in late 2015.
