The draft law No. 2105 envisions introduction of state targeted support to access to vocational and higher education in order set by the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine for servicemen (nonregular soldiers, commandeered persons) and employees of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, other military formations, law enforcement bodies, who protected independence, sovereignty and territorial integrity of Ukraine and took direct part in the anti-terror operation, assistance in its holding, staying directly in the areas of anti-terror operation, as well as children of the said persons.
During the discussion, member of the Committee noted that the draft law expands opportunities as to access to education for participants of the anti-terror operation and their children. At the same time, participants of the Committee meeting presented a number of proposals as to improvement of the draft law, in particular the ones that touch upon: expansion of the list of persons having right to state support to receive higher education; raising of age of children having right to respective support up to 23 years; and specification of types of such support. In opinion of Committee members, these remarks may be taken in account during preparation of the draft law for second reading.
