The meeting participants were former head of the State Financial Inspectorate of Ukraine M.Hordienko; First Deputy Prosecutor General of Ukraine V.Huzir; First Deputy Justice Minister N.Sevostiyanova; Head of National Agency of Ukraine for State Service K.Vaschenko; representatives of the Verkhovna Rada Committee for Legislative Support to Law Enforcement, and the Verkhovna Rada Committee for Combating Corruption; other Committees.
Following the results of the hearing by the Verkhovna Rada Committee for Legislative Support to Law Enforcement, it was decided to suggest that the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine provide a workgroup formed of representatives of the Verkhovna Rada Committee for Legislative Support to Law Enforcement and the Verkhovna Rada Committee for Combating Corruption with functions of an interim investigative commission.
The Committee also approved decision to address the Prosecutor General's Office to urge law enforcement bodies to take legal, organizational, technical and other measures to protect life, property, health and housing of former head of the State Financial Inspectorate of Ukraine Mykola Hordienko.
Members of the Committee recommend that the Verkhovna Rada rapidly adopt the Law of Ukraine No. 1098 “On interim investigative commissions and interim special commissions of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine.”
