Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine adopts Law “On legal status and commemoration of fighters for independence of Ukraine in XX century”

The Law sets legal status of fighters for independence of Ukraine in the XX century, enshrines right to provision of state and municipal social guarantees for these fighters, determines state awards and military ranks of fighters for independence of Ukraine in the XX century, determines major trends in state policy as to restoration and commemoration of national memory about such fight, and introduces responsibility for breaching of the Law of Ukraine on the status of fighters for independence of Ukraine in the XX century.

Respective draft law was registered under No. 2538-1.
