On April 7, Verkhovna Rada Committee for Foreign Affairs eyed the issue of development of international cooperation and provision of bilateral visits between the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine and the Chamber of Deputies and Senate of the Italian Republic.
Co-heads of the deputy group for interparliamentary relations with the Italian Republic Serhii Alekseev (on photo) and Oksana Korchynska attended the meeting.
In particular, Serhii Alekseev pointed out the necessity for a visit to the Italian Parliament, as Ukrainian stance as to Russia’s aggression and annexation of Crimea is not sufficiently represented in Italy. Alekseev also offered a plan for measures to be implemented during the visit and to help presenting Ukraine’s stand as to aggressive actions of the Russian Federation.
In turn, Oksana Korchynska offered a plan for measures on cooperation between the two countries in the field of health care.
Taking in account the Order of Chairperson of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine Volodymyr Groysman No. 173 dated February 11, 2015, it is possible to conduct five visits of deputy groups abroad, thus, the Verkhovna Rada Committee for Foreign Affairs found the visit to Italy to be a top-priority aimed at facilitation of the development of international cooperation. The visit is scheduled for late May 2015.
The delegation members will be elected at a meeting of the deputy group for interparliamentary relations with the Italian Republic at 15:00, April 21, 2015 (3А Sadova street, room 536).
