Participants of the meeting were members of the workgroup — people's deputies, representatives of the Presidential Administration of Ukraine, Institute of Legislation of Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine, Ministry of Social Policy, and the Pension Fund.
Opening the meeting, Committee head Liudmyla Denysova noted that the workgroup is working on the complex of issues of social policy, education, science, youth, sport, and health care. Many proposals touch upon perfection of pension coverage. “I believe it is necessary to combine them, improve them, as we have deadlines,” Denysova said.
The Head of the Committee addressed representatives of central executive bodies requesting to speed up development of the draft laws.
“People's deputies have to understand what high-priority draft laws they have to work with and determine the terms for their introduction. Besides, it is necessary to discuss draft laws with different institutions and the society. The people have to know what reforms are introduced in the state, and be ready for new rules,” Denysova stressed.
The workgroup discussed procedure of processing of Chapter “Social Sector” of the draft Plan for legislative support to reforms, terms of elaboration and introduction of draft laws.
