Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine adopts Law “On ratification of Letter on introduction of amendments into Financial Agreement (Project on construction of Rivne NPP – Kyiv high-voltage 750-kilovolt line) between Ukraine and European Investment Bank”

The Law ratifies the Letter on introduction of amendments into the Financial Agreement (Project on construction of the Rivne nuclear power plant - Kyiv 750-kilovolt high-voltage line) between Ukraine and the European Investment Bank approved in Luxembourg on January 6, 2014 and in Kyiv on July 9, 2014.

The Letter envisions suspension of the deadline for the use of credit funds, attracted from the European Investment Bank, from December 31, 2012 for June 2015 with simultaneous expansion of the spread size from 0.55% to 0.787% per annum.

The Letter ratification is aimed at creation of proper grounds to receive credit funds worth EUR 150 million to finance the said Project.

Respective draft law was registered under No. 0009.
