The Agreement between the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine and the Government of the Italian Republic on transit of military cargoes and personnel through the territory of Ukraine in the frames of participation of the Armed Forces of the Italian Republic in the International Security Assistance Forces in the Islamic Republic of Afghanistan was signed in Kyiv on February 21, 2013. Item 1, Article 15 of the Agreement envisions that the Agreement takes effect from the date of receipt of the last written notification through diplomatic channels on completion of implementation of inner-state procedures required for enactment of the document by the Parties.
As far as the Agreement regulates transit of military cargoes and military personnel through the territory of Ukraine, it is subjected to ratification by the Ukrainian Parliament in compliance with requirements of Item 23, Article 85 of the Constitution of Ukraine.
