At the opening it was announced that domestic tourism is one of the trends of 2015. "The development of domestic tourism should become one of Ukraine’s development priorities as tourism gives not only the opportunity of direct investments in economy, but also helps to persuade foreigners of possibility to securely invest in Ukraine. In case of holding appropriate state policy, the sector of tourism is able to bring the economy over USD 10 billion,” Hanna Romanova said opening the exhibition.
The head of the Committee thanked domestic travel companies, city and regional administrations, which “despite the complicated economic situation, continue to develop domestic tourism” and promised to do her best to provide our state with up-to-date European standards in the sector of tourism.
It was also announced that over many years the exhibition has been the largest international event in the market of tourism of Ukraine. It facilitates the popularization of the national tourist product, development of new destinations both in Ukraine and abroad, ensure constructive dialogue within the sector and establishes favorable business-climate in Ukraine.
This year, the participants of the show were over 220 travel companies, national and local travel associations, transport agencies, delegations of foreign countries, and representatives of National travel offices and foreign travel ministries of Bulgaria, Georgia, Greece, the Dominican Republic, Egypt, Cyprus, Italy, Israel, Spain, Iran, Thailand, Cuba, Tunisia, Turkey, Hungary, France, Croatia, and Uzbekistan.
