The issue of activity of military procuracies as well as the issue of rebroadcast of programs by Broadcasting, Radiocommunications and Television Concern in Donetsk and Luhansk Oblasts were also considered during the Committee’s meeting on Tuesday, September 16.
Discussion was held behind the closed doors.
Committee members also discussed the bill on amendments to the laws of Ukraine re fight against terrorism.
The bill (Reg. No. 5011) suggests establishing a new special subdivision within the structure of the Security Service bodies of Ukraine on prevention and termination of sabotage and terrorist manifestations in view of refining fight against terrorism and in connection with manifestations of separatism; activity of sabotage and armed groups, as well as separate persons; as well as blocking and seizure of administrative buildings, etc.
The respective amendments are to be made to the laws “On Fight against Terrorism”, “On Security Service of Ukraine” and “On Operational-Investigative Activity”.
Having discussed the bill, Committee members upheld it and unanimously took the decision to recommend the Verkhovna Rada adopt it as a basis and, in case there are no remarks or proposals from the subjects of legislative initiative, - in entirety as a law.
