The bill is aimed at improving legal bases of state control in the field of safety and quality of food and feed and animal welfare.
The draft suggests determining the system of bodies which exercise appropriate control and their authorities; types of control in this sphere; main requirements on exercising control over safety and quality of food and feed and animal welfare; qualification requirements for persons exercising control; measures of legal liability for violating requirements of respective legislation, etc.
The bill stipulates harmonizing Ukrainian legislation in the sphere of state control on audits of compliance with legislation of Ukraine on safety and quality of food and feed and animal welfare with the EU Regulations No. 854/2004, No. 882/2004, No. 669/2009 and the Council Directive No. 97/78/EC.
Respective bill was registered under No. 4986-1.
