Analysis of statistic data proves that the general number of appeals has reduced by 16 thousand (in comparison with the respective period of the previous year) mainly due to reduction of written and oral appeals to the committees of the Verkhovna Rada and the Ad Hoc Supervisory Panel of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine on Privatization (minus 6,5 thousand) and deputy factions (groups) (minus 2,5 thousand).
38,7 thousand of citizens’ appeals were received, of which 42,6 percent pertained to the issue of establishing law order, and realization of civil rights and freedoms; 11,2 percent – to the activity of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine, the President of Ukraine and the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine; 10,9 percent – to social protection; 6,8 percent – to labour and wages; 4,7 percent – to financial, fiscal, and customs policy; 3,1percent – to housing policy and 3,1 percent – to municipal services.
During January-June 2014, the Verkhovna Rada was addressed by 1,8 thousand of disabled veterans of І-ІІІ categories; 1,2 thousand of children of war; 803 veterans of labour; 622 persons who suffered from the Chornobyl disaster; 531 disabled war veterans; 197 families with many children; 408 disabled children; 351 disabled veterans of the World War II; 197 families with many children; 172 liquidators of Chornobyl disaster; 157 participants of war; 152 combatants; 77 single mothers; 54 Mother Heroines; 13 Heroes of Ukraine; and more than 31,5 citizens who did not specify their social status.
According to the information provided by the secretariats of deputy factions (groups) during the first half of 2014, the people’s deputies of the seventh convocation and their assistants were addressed by 150613 voters; 51928 of written appeals were scrutinized; 9709 visitors attended personal receptions; and 9725 meetings with the electorate were held.
