Lilia Hrynevych told the teaching staff about the Law “On Education”, adopted by the Verkhovna Rada.

“Despite military Russian aggression and an extremely complicated financial and economic state of the country, we have initiated systemic reforms. Reforming of higher education has become one of the first systemic reforms. I want to declare with full responsibility that adoption of such a systemic law on higher education on July 1 in the Verkhovna Rada would be absolutely impossible without the Revolution of Dignity.”

The Committee Chairperson noted also that under the law, funds that higher educational institutions cash on educational, scientific and other services are suggested to be transferred to the accounts of state banks.

“Today, it is complicated for the university to invite even a Nobel laureate without a bureaucratic red-tape,” stressed Lilia Hrynevych.

One of the novelties of the Law “On Higher Education” lies in establishment of a separate collegial body – the National Agency for securing quality of higher education.

More than 70 lecturers of Chernivtsi National University came to meet with the Chairperson of the Committee. Everyone had the opportunity to ask questions regarding the adopted Law “On Higher Education”.
