The Committee on State Building and Local Self-Government recommends that the Parliament should adopt as a basis the bill on amendments to the Law “On the Election of People's Deputies of Ukraine” (re refinement of certain provisions)

The bill (Reg. No. 2908) in particular, suggests:

enshrining additional guarantees for implementation of the principles of generality of elections and citizens’ right to participate in the electoral process, including participation in electoral agitation;  

refining legal status of representatives of parties in the Central Election Commission, of authorized party representatives and official observers, and broaden the list of their rights; 

introducing more transparent, democratic and open principles of functioning of electoral commissions, etc.
