The Committee on Family Matters, Youth Policy, Sports and Tourism recommends that the Parliament adopt as a basis the bill on amendments to several laws of Ukraine (re increasing assistance at childbirth and improving demographic situation in the country)

The bill (Reg. No. 4661) suggests establishing that such assistance at childbirth is assigned: UAH 45 thousand for the first child, UAH 60 thousand for the second child, UAH 80 thousand for the third and every next child.     

The document includes a norm according to which such assistance should be paid one time in the amount of UAH 12 thousand, the rest of the sum should be paid during next 24 months – for the first child, during 48 months – for the second child, and during 60 months for the third and every next child, in the order stipulated by the Cabinet of Ministers.         

It is also planned to exclude sub-clauses 2 and 3 of clause 7 of sector II of the Law "On preventing financial disaster, and creating conditions for economic growth in Ukraine".

The Committee members claim it is reasonable to consider provisions of the bill on amendments to article 12 of the Law "On State Assistance to Families with Children" (re changes of amount and order of providing assistance at childbirth) (Reg. No. 4314) when elaborating the document for the second reading.
