The document (Reg. No. 3595) stipulates imposition of a moratorium on reconsideration of border zones of radio-contaminated territories until 2023.

In the course of discussion, the people’s deputies stressed that the issue of reconsideration of border zones of radio-contaminated territories is in detail regulated by parts five of articles 2 of the Laws “On the Status and Social Protection of citizens who Suffered as a Result of Chornobyl Catastrophe” and “On Legal Regime of a Territory Contaminated as a Result of Chornobyl Catastrophe”.

It was noted also that imposition of a moratorium will not secure the possibility for efficient settlement of the issue of development of the respective territories and will increase depressive status of certain populated areas of Ukraine.
