The Committee on Judicial Policy considered several bills on their compliance with provisions of the Constitution of Ukraine

The Committee particularly concluded that the draft law on amendments to the Law “On Status of a People’s Deputy” (Reg. No. 4474) complies with the Constitution of Ukraine.   

To reach the aim of the bill it is suggested to supplement chapter one of article 3 of the Law “On Status of a People’s Deputy” with a new provision.  

The Committee recognized the draft law on amendments to the Law “On the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine” (re governmental committees) (under Reg. No. 4477) as non–contradicting provisions of the Constitution of Ukraine.   

In order to reach the aim of the bill, the author suggests grant the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine power to approve the Rules of Procedure of the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine, and also determines the order of forming and organizing activity of governmental committees.  

The Committee’s members decided that the Basic Law of Ukraine does not grant the Parliament of Ukraine power to approve the Rules of Procedure of the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine.
