The Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine adopted as a basis the draft law on e-commerce

The bill suggests determine organizational and legal basis for exercising e-commerce in Ukraine and establish clear legal requirements and mechanisms necessary for distant conclusion and execution of transactions, using electronic informational and communicational means and technologies.

The legislative act aims at systematization of Ukraine’s current legislation in the sphere of electronic commerce and insurance of legal order of distance concluding and executing of juristic acts with the use of electronic informational and communicational means and technologies. The main task of the document lies in establishment of clear legal requirements and mechanisms of distance concluding and executing of juristic acts with the use of electronic informational and communicational means and technologies.           

The bill suggests introduce the notions of “e-commerce”, “e-form of information representation”, “e-transaction”, etc.

The document establishes main principles of e-commerce.
