The farce terrorists call a referendum will not have any legal consequences, only criminal responsibility of its organizers. With such words Acting President of Ukraine, Chairman of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine Oleksandr Turchynov commented on the “referendum” in the Donbas.
“That farce the terrorists call a referendum is nothing else but a propagandist cover for killings, kidnapping, violence and other grave crimes”, he said.
In his words, processes, devastating for the economy of Donetsk and Luhansk Oblasts that actually threaten lives and welfare of the citizens, “are inspired by the leadership of the Russian Federation which aims at total destabilization of the situation in the country, disruption of presidential elections and overthrow of the Ukrainian government”.
“This propagandist farce will not have any legal consequences, only criminal responsibility of its organizers”, claimed the Chairman of the Parliament, stressing that the Ukrainian government will continue fighting against terrorists, saboteurs and criminals.
At the same time, the government will negotiate with those in the east of Ukraine who do not have blood on their hands and those who are ready to defend their goals and beliefs in a legal way”, summed up Oleksandr Turchynov.
