Dear compatriots!
Dear war veterans!
Today Ukraine solemnly celebrates the Victory Day.
This is an especially emotional day that unites all generations and overwhelms us with common feelings of happiness and sadness.
We sincerely honor our liberators who heroically asserted our unalienable right to live freely on the native land.
At the cost of their own blood, jointly with the soldiers of Anti-Hitler coalition, they saved enslaved European countries from fascist slavery.
Through flames of battles, suffering and death; through bitterness and irreparable loss did our people walk their calvary road to the great victory.
On these May days every family remembers their native ones who did not come back from that terrible war and did not live to see the today’s holiday.
Eternal glory and cherished memory to them!
I am convinced that our children and descendants will never forget self-sacrifice and great feat of Ukrainians that duly hold one of the leading places among the glorious cohort of winners.
1 million and 600 thousands of veterans who brought the victory nearer with their weapons or work are left. Of these only 32 thousands are direct participants of bloody battles and 55 thousands are disabled war veterans. Ukraine is proud of these people.
Keeping in mind the unpaid debt to you, we will do everything possible to provide you with decent living conditions, reliable social protection and respect in the society.
We are full of determination to multiply the inherited values, defend peace and develop our common beautiful home named Ukraine.
Dear veterans!
It is my great honor today to present my respect and love and express deep gratitude to you.
Greeting you on the Victory Day, with all my heart I wish each of you sound health, emotional warmth, peace, as well as happy and long life!
Glory and honor to you!
Happy Victory Day!
Glory to Ukraine!
