The bill (Reg. No. 3130) aims at securing pollution reduction, increasing quality of ambient air and bringing Ukrainian legislation in this sphere into proximity with the EU legislation.

The bill stipulates making amendments to several applicable laws.

The document considers provisions of the Directive 2008/50/EC of the European Parliament and of the Council of 21 May 2008 on ambient air quality and cleaner air for Europe.

Committee members also took into account proposals of the Cabinet of Ministers that spoke in favor of the bill under the condition of adjusting its terminology with the terminology of the existing regulatory legal acts and acts of the EU legislation, as well as excluding provisions that cause duplication of norms in the Law “On Protection of Ambient Air”, etc.
