The task of authority lies in establishing conditions for Ukrainians to feel that elections are their responsibility for the tomorrow life in Ukraine. Acting President of Ukraine, Chairman of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine Oleksandr Turchynov claimed this in the Shuster LIVE TV programme on Wednesday.

According to him, it is extremely important to get rid of the practice “when people sell their votes, since they sell their future.”
Chairman of the Parliament stressed that the authority will do everything possible to avoid any falsifications during elections.
“I have already said that we will do everything possible to prevent use of administrative resources, which was typical of Ukraine. The authority has always patronaged itself. This will not happen,” he said, adding that neither central authorities, nor authority at the regional level will influence citizens’ choice or limit it.
Apart from this, he stressed that presidential elections are another step in the direction to stabilization of authority and situation in the country.
“That is why disruption of elections and, as a result, demonstrating that there is no legitimate authority in Ukraine, is another task that Kremlin will try to settle,” he said.
“Their fantasies, fears and horrors are their problems. We do everything that there were held not merely elections in Ukraine, but fair, transparent and democratic elections. That is why we will severely repel any disruption attempts,” he summed.
