To the veterans of the Great Patriotic War,
Citizens of the city of Chernivtsi
Dear friends!
I sincerely congratulate you on the 70th liberation anniversary of Chernivtsi from fascist invaders.
Seven decades ago our parents and grandparents with their own example, and not with ambitious statements, have proved that love to Homeland is the ability of a person to perform deeds in the name of freedom and harmony, not sparing the most precious – their life.
We, the grateful ancestors of courageous soldiers, are imposed with great responsibility for the cloudless sky over Ukraine, for the hundreds of dreams and hopes to come true and not be destroyed by the war.
With all my heart I wish veterans-liberators of your freedom-loving land, as well as all the citizens of Chernivtsi sound health, prosperity and family welfare.
May there always dominate peace and calm on the blessed Bukovyna land and may this glorious date help you feel your affiliation to the destiny of your native land and perceive its history, the present day and the future!
