To the veterans of the Great Patriotic War,
citizens of Mykolaiv city
Dear friends!
I sincerely congratulate you on the 70th liberation anniversary of Mykolaiv from fascist invaders.
Today we honor the front-line soldiers that defended Mykolaiv land and drew nearer the day of liberation and independence. Unfading feat of soldiers and seamen is the everlasting example of love to Homeland. Their names, self-sacrifice and courage live in the granite monuments-memorials, in the grateful memory of fellow countrymen, and in the light of Eternal Flame before which people bow low.
The example of courageous defenders will serve as a spiritual support in establishing sovereign and democratic Ukrainian state. I am convinced that you, dear citizens of Mykolaiv, will do your best to make your wonderful land of Black Sea steppes prosper in peace and calm and make the shipping capital of Ukraine stronger and glorious.
On this day I wish you all sound health, family welfare, cloudless sky and harmony in your home.
