Neither Ukraine, nor the world will recognize annexation of our territories. Chairman of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine, acting President of Ukraine Oleksandr Turchynov stressed this.

On Tuesday, during the meeting with generalship of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, Oleksandr Turchynov noted that aggression of the Russian Federation continues and Russian political leadership exercises annexation of Ukraine’s territory.

Thereat, Chairman of the Verkhovna Rada underlined that this process has no legal effects, but it is the dangerous provocation for the whole Europe, since this is the first attempt, in the after war period, to annex territory of an independent state.

Oleksandr Turchynov expressed gratitude to the military men of the Armed Forces of Ukraine that “serve honestly and protect territorial integrity of Ukraine, as well as tranquility of the whole Europe.” “Courage and heroism of military men will be appreciated by the Government and people,” he said.

The acting President claimed that all Ukrainian military men, dislocated on the Crimean territory, will have the status of combatant.

Chairman of the Parliament stressed that the Ukrainian authority does everything possible to strengthen Ukraine’s defensive capacity. According to him, the Government works on the programme of financial and technical provision of our troops.

“There will never be detachment of Ukraine’s territory,” claimed Oleksandr Turchynov.
