The Committee on Agrarian Policy and Land Relations held a joint meeting with the Ministry of Agrarian Policy and Food of Ukraine

Minister of Agrarian Policy and Food of Ukraine I.Shvaika was present at the meeting.

As Chair of the Committee Hryhorii Kaletnik said, “the Committee positively assesses dynamic and efficient steps of the Ministers who since the first days has rearranged administrative vertical of the ministry and adopted several decisions that positively influence spring field activity in Ukraine”.       

According to H. Kaletnik, staff strengthening of a public joint-stock company “State Food and Grain Corporation of Ukraine” (particularly, appointing new management), as well as the decision on management and structure of  the corporation’s activity arrangement “will give an opportunity to set clear rules for its activity on national and foreign markets, including fulfilling commitments to China.”   

The issues on assistance to the National Academy of Agrarian Sciences of Ukraine, special regime of imposing taxes on agricultural business, crediting agro-industrial complex, etc. were discussed at the meeting.   

Following the discussion, the Committee’s Chair stressed that problems the country’s agricultural sphere is facing now have to be settled jointly and quickly.
