The bill (Reg. No. 3048) suggests introduce personal lapel badges that should be placed on the official uniform of each internal affairs employee and will enable their identification in case of necessity.

The bill suggests also establish administrative responsibility for absence of such a lapel badge, its damage, clothing or any other way that prohibits identification of this category of persons.

The document amends the Law “On the Internal Military Forces of the Internal Affairs Ministry of Ukraine”.

Committee members noted that adoption of the bill will stimulate internal affairs employees to be governed only by the Ukrainian legislation in the course of their activity, through the prism of adhering to rights and freedoms of a human and citizen, enshrined in the Constitution and the applicable legislation.
