Oleksandr Turchynov: Ukrainian army is ready to protect our country

On Friday Chairman of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine, acting President of Ukraine Oleksandr Turchynov visited complex tactical training of the Ground Forces.   

Speaking with journalists, Oleksandr Turchynov stressed that Ukrainian army is ready to protect the country. He informed that in view of the fact that the Russian Federation brought troops to Crimea and concentrated military units along Ukrainian borders, Ukrainian Armed Forces are on full combat alert.   

According to him, trainings, at which readiness of military units is checked, have been initiated in Ukraine.

Oleksandr Turchynov also claimed that regardless of problems in the economy, the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine will mobilize all available resources to secure the army and protect our country. He thanked the military men who are fulfilling their duties under difficult conditions, and who are ready to protect our country. “The army has high morale,” stressed the Chairman of the Parliament.    

Speaking about today’s trainings, acting President of Ukraine said that “real trainings were conducted; tank and airmobile units, artillery were working off their technical interaction”.
