The Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine adopted the Resolution “On the report of the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine on Ukraine’s participation in peace and security support activities in 2012”

 The Resolution takes into consideration report of the Cabinet of Ministers on Ukraine’s participation in peace and security support activities in 2012.

The act recommends the President of Ukraine to consider the status of implementation of the decision of the National Security and Defence Council of April 24, 2009. 

The Cabinet of Ministers is recommended to elaborate and take measures on involving enterprises, institutions and organizations of Ukraine in redevelopment of economy and social sphere of the states, on the territory of which international peacekeeping operation is being carried out with participation of Ukraine and establish further cooperation with these states in political and economic spheres.  

The document recommends that the government shall secure elaboration and approval of the mechanism for preparation and sending of national personnel (experts from different spheres of social life) to secure Ukraine’s participation in the post-conflict redevelopment of states; 

reduce time for taking decisions regarding financial maintenance of national contingent and national personnel of Ukraine that participate in the international peacekeeping operations, approved by the Resolution of the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine of July 11, 2002 Reg. No. 963; etc.

The Cabinet of Ministers was mandated to refer the respective legislative proposals to the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine. 

The respective draft resolution was registered under No. 3691.
