At the request of the Russian Party, a telephone conversation between the Chairman of the Verkhovna Rada Oleksandr Turchynov and the Chairman of the State Duma of the Federal Assembly of the Russian Federation Sergey Naryshkin was held on Saturday. In the course of conversation, the Russian official claimed readiness to apply military aggression of the Russian Federation against Ukraine, in case force is used “against Ukrainian civilians residing on the territory of Crimea or in the East.”
In connection with this, the Ukrainian Party officially states: “We do everything possible to protect all Ukrainian citizens that at present have de-facto become the object of aggression on the part of Russian military men and provocateurs, being supported by the Russian Party.”
“We did not use and we do not plan to use force against the citizens, however, today the Russian Federation in every possible way instigates unfolding of a forceful scenario in order to fully destabilize situation in Ukraine,” said Oleksandr Turchynov.
According to him, any use of weapons and force against the citizens “we deem to be especially organized provocations in order to argument military aggression of the Russian Federation against Ukraine.”
“Ukraine is a peaceful state, however, it is ready to protect its territorial integrity and sovereignty. The respective decision is being elaborated by the National Security and Defense Council,” summed the Chairman of the Parliament.
