RESOLUTION
OF THE VERKHOVNA RADA OF UKRAINE
“On preventing separatist manifestations and other encroachments upon foundations of the national security of Ukraine”
Taking into account statement of the Security Service of Ukraine of February 21, 2014, and other messages regarding attempts of some politicians, representatives of local-self government authorities, leaders of citizens’ associations, and radical persons to form grounds for escalation of civil conflict, spreading separatist sentiments that can lead to threats to territorial integrity and inviolability of state,
The Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine establishes:
1. To strongly condemn separatist manifestations and any other encroachments upon territorial integrity and inviolability of Ukraine.
2. To demand from the Security Service of Ukraine to immediately investigate all messages about actions with signs of crimes against foundations of the national security of Ukraine, particularly, encroachments upon territorial integrity and inviolability of Ukraine, as well as to take all drastic measures to stop and prevent threats to national security of Ukraine.
3. On February 25, 2014 in the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine to grant a hearing to the information of the Security Service of Ukraine about investigations regarding encroachments upon territorial integrity and inviolability of Ukraine, particularly, information about talks of different level deputies with representatives of foreign countries on a possible division of the country to several parts which are referred to in the statement of the Security Service of Ukraine of February 21, 2014.
4. This Resolution comes into force on the day of its adoption.
