The acting President of Ukraine, Chairman of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine Oleksandr Turchynov claims that the Central Election Commission will announce the beginning of the presidential election campaign on Monday.

On opening the Conciliatory Council meeting on Monday, Oleksandr Turchynov informed that the Central Election Commission, at the decision of the Parliament, will announce the beginning of the presidential race and will print the election campaign schedule. He did not exclude that the process of nominating candidates to the post of the Head of the state may start already on Tuesday.  

Thereat, Oleksandr Turchynov noted that there are problems connected with financing the election campaign, since around two billion of hryvnias are needed.

In connection with this, the Chairman of the Verkhovna Rada has entrusted the specializing Committee to urgently consider the issue of amending the law on the state budget and the possibility of reducing election campaign expenses.
