 In Kyiv, on the Day of Honoring the Memory of Participants of Combat Actions on the Territories of Other States, the President of Ukraine Viktor Yanukovych, Chairman of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine Volodymyr Rybak and acting Prime Minister of Ukraine Serhii Arbuzov laid flowers to the Memorial complex to to Ukrainian citizens fallen in Afghanistan.

Head of the Presidential Administration Andriy Kliuiev, Prosecutor General of Ukraine Viktor Pshonka, Head of Kyiv CSA Volodymyr Makeienko, Head of the Ukrainian Community of Afghan Veterans Serhii Chervonopyskyi, government officials, people’s deputies, clergy and participants of the war in Afghanistan also attended the ceremony.

Participants of the ceremony honored memory of the fallen soldiers with a moment of silence.
