Under the Resolution, the main tasks of the Temporary Inquiry Commission are as follows: obtain complete and accurate information concerning wrongful acts on the part of law-enforcers and separate officials connected with mass actions of socio-political protest that took place in Ukraine on November 21, 2013; identify specific persons guilty of organizing forceful dispersal of peaceful demonstrations, beating of people, attacks on journalists and hindering of their professional activity; as well as preparation and referral of the respective materials to the Prosecutor Generals’ Office of Ukraine in order to bring to responsibility the abovementioned persons.
The people’s deputy Hennadii Moskal (faction of the All-Ukrainian Union Batkivshchyna) was elected the head of the Temporary Interim Commission.
The term of tenure of the Temporary Interim Commission was set to be one year starting from the day of adoption of this Resolution.
There shall be granted a hearing to the report of the Temporary Inquiry Commission during the plenary meeting of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine not later than six months after the Resolution was adopted.
The Resolution comes into force on the day of its adoption.
The Resolution was adopted with consideration of specifications.
