Throughout their history, the Oblast citizens have actively participated in bright events and heroic deeds. Your region is connected with names of different prominent persons: composers D.Bortnianskyi and M.Berezovskyi, painters H.Narbut, D.Burliuk, writers P.Kulish, O.Oles, O.Vyshnia, a prominent pedagogue A.Makarenko and many others.
Present generation of Sumy citizens proudly continues glorious traditions of their ancestors. Your hard work, hospitality, and generosity are in accord with conscience, responsibility, and a sense of purpose. And this is the guarantee of future success, mutual agreement and general social welfare.
