To the veterans of the Great Patriotic War, citizens of Zhytomyr city
Dear friends!
I sincerely congratulate you on the occasion of the 70th liberation anniversary of Zhytomyr from fascist invaders.
Relentless flow of time cannot sponge neither the memory of happiness from liberation of the city, nor sincere gratitude of its citizens to the military men-liberators of the First Ukrainian Front whose heroism and courage has neutralized the intense enemy’s opposition in the course of Zhytomyr-Berdychiv offensive military operation. We also honor all those who brought the Victory nearer by their shopfloor work and brave actions in the enemy’s rear, as well as those, who supported veterans of the Great Patriotic War with what was most urgently needed.
We bow low before the silver haired veterans, before all those who granted us the possibility to live and create, to give birth and build, to dream and to bring up children.
On this holiday, I wish all the citizens of Zhytomyr sound health, peace and harmony, well-being and comfort to each family, as well as inspiration to make our Homeland a rich and prosperous land.
