To the veterans of the Great Patriotic War,
citizens of the city of Korosten
of Zhytomyr Oblast
Dear friends!
Please, accept my most sincere congratulations on the occasion of a glorious date in the history of your town – the 70th liberation anniversary of Korosten from fascist invaders.
On these days we honor veterans and antedate thoughts by remembering winter days of 1943 when troops of the 1st Ukrainian front liberated the city of Korosten during the Zhytomyr-Berdychiv military operation.
We bow low before you, dear veterans, for your military might and hard work in the post-war time and for parental support in the development of your small Homeland.
Let me wish you many years of healthy life, as well as peace and comfort to your families. May fortune be generous to you and may life bring you happiness and welfare.
Honor and glory to the veterans-liberators, the brave military men of the great army! Eternal glory to all those who died on the Zhytomyr land and sacrificed their life for its freedom.
