During the Committee meeting on December 4, the Committee members adopted the decision to uphold pleading of Rivne Oblast council regarding renaming of Mezhyrichchia village of Yaroslavychi village council of Mlyniv region to a village Chekno; of the Verkhovna Rada of the Autonomous Republic of Crimea regarding renaming Stakhanovka village of Pervomaisk region of the Autonomous Republic of Crimea to a village Stakhanivka; of Lviv Oblast council regarding renaming village Bystrytsia of Bystrytsia Hirska village council of Drohobych region of Lviv Oblast to a village Bystrytsia Hirska.

Considering the pleading of Zaporizhzhia Oblast council regarding renaming of Besidivka village of Besidivka village council of Pryazovia region of Zaporizhzhia Oblast to a village Besedivka, the Committee members noted that renaming of the populated area is not justified enough due to absence of any proven historical records of the name in documentary sources which would indicate its original form, and adopted the decision to recommit the materials regarding renaming of this populated area.

The issue on renaming Bukovyna village of Bortnyky village council of Zhydachiv region of Lviv Oblast to a village Bukavyna was not upheld by the Committee members. The Committee adopted the decision to reject this pleading.
