As it was mentioned during the discussion, the draft law on National social programme of physical culture and sports development for 2013-2017, adopted by the Verkhovna Rada of September 5, 2013, can not ‘be considered as a state target programme because of absence of events list and scope of financing.’ The people’s deputies stressed that absence of legislative regulation of physical culture and sports development can cause negative consequences for this sphere in general. Taking this into account, it was decided to change the words ‘2013-2017’ for ‘2014’ in the bill’s title (‘On the National social programme of physical culture and sports development) and text. It was decided to recommend that the Parliament elaborate and adopt measures on carrying out the Programme till January 1, 2014.
The people’s deputies agreed with a suggestion to include the provisions to the bill’s text.
