The Committee on Environmental Policy, Use of Natural Resources and Chornobyl Aftermath Mitigation recommends that the Parliament should adopt as a basis the draft law on amendments to several legislative acts of Ukraine (re protection of conservation areas)

It was noted at the meeting of the Committee that the bill (Reg. No. 3400) is aimed at improvement of legislative regulation of relations in the sphere of organization, protection and use of nature reserve fund. The bill suggests specify titles and powers of executive authorities in this sphere, as well as requirements regarding protection of natural complexes and objects of natural parks, etc.   

The Committee members stressed that the draft law is to promote implementation of administrative reform in Ukraine concerning management in the sphere of organization, protection and use of nature reserve fund, delegation of powers from territorial authorities of the central executive authority.  

Respective amendments are suggested to be made to the Code of Ukraine on Administrative Infringements, the Law ‘On the Nature Reserve Fund of Ukraine’, the Law ‘On ecological network of Ukraine’, as well as the Law ‘On Game Husbandry and Hunting.’
